Marketing Specialist

New Jersey Resources is seeking an Marketing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on production and execution of email marketing campaigns for various business units as required. Major Responsibilities: • Produces and executes all email campaigns, including building emails within and designing email campaign templates and HTML, asset coordination, QA, and deployment. • Operates directly in the email service provider platform (SAP) including targeting, campaign building, and calendar scheduling. • Performs quality assurance of email campaigns to ensure accuracy and customer experience align with campaign goals and requirements. • Creates re-usable messaging templates, HTML snippets, and library. • Utilizes dynamic content to personalize emails. • Works closely with marketing teams to build campaigns and understand messaging. • Provides campaign performance reports that include opens, clicks, conversions, unsubscribes, etc. to inform planning and recommend new opportunities. • Reduces unsubscribe rates through proper sending cadence and high-value content. • Develops a segmentation strategy in partnership with leadership team that allows business partners served to move away from batch-and-blast tactics to send more relevant and personalized emails. • Be an expert in the field of email marketing by continuing to educate yourself through blogs, webinars, newsletters, etc. Position Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field • Minimum 2 years of experience in email execution and managing email campaigns • Experience working in email service provider platforms; knowledge or experience in Marketing Cloud/SAP is strongly preferred, Adobe Suite a plus • Ability to code emails (HTML, CSS, and mobile responsive email design) • Knowledge of current email best practices and new technology • Attention to detail and a sense of project ownership is a must • Strong project planning, organization, and execution skills • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively • Team-oriented, thrives in a highly collaborative environment; able to work autonomously as well • Excellent verbal and written skills * The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary.
