Accounting Analyst II (Hybrid)

At our Fortune 1000 diversified energy company, you’ll find a friendly, community-minded environment, with flexible work schedules, opportunities for growth and development, and competitive pay and benefits New Jersey Resources (NJR) is seeking an Accounting Analyst II to assist with monthly closing of books, analysis of accounts reporting and regulatory filings for NJR Storage & Transportation (S&T), a subsidiary of NJR. Major Responsibilities: • Prepare monthly journals and reconciliations for NJR Storage & Transportation (S&T) division • Assist in analysis of balance sheet accounts • Coordinate all Sox Testing for accounting function testing for all NJR companies • Responsible for quarterly and annual FERC reporting and 10Q and 10Kschedules; may assist with other reporting as requested • Assist with regulatory filings and annual FERC audit for S&T’s Adelphia Gateway Position Specifications • Bachelors degree in accounting is required, CPA preferred • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or related field • Strong proficiency with Excel, with experience working with spreadsheets and modeling concepts • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion and Wdesk a plus • FERC and regulated utility experience a plus • Strong analytical skills • Exceptional organizational skills • Self-motivator with the ability to work independently • Able to manage and meet monthly time-sensitive deadlines * The above job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary.
